ONCSE Mission and Purpose

ONCSE is a nonprofit, professional organization centered around STEM higher education in Ohio.  We empower educators at all stages, from grad student to full professor, by:

  • linking people together in face-to-face and meaningful ways,

  • creating and offering opportunities to share scholarship on effective education (like at our yearly conference), and

  • creating and offering opportunities for educators to learn and practice effective, impactful pedagogy, like our monthly webinar series

Events are centered around three pillars:

  1. Instructional practice

  2. Scholarship of teaching and learning

  3. Professional development

Check here for upcoming events, which we update frequently!

The central team is a core group of educators who are passionate about student-centered teaching, and have years of experience and expertise in effective teaching, including SOTL, sense of belonging, active learning, etc.  Check out our table below, and contact us if you would like to contribute!
