ONCSE Mission and Purpose

ONCSE is a nonprofit, professional organization dedicated to advancing excellence in STEM higher education in Ohio.  We bring together educators at every career stage, from graduate students to full professors, to connect, collaborate, and grow.

We support our community by:

• Building meaningful connections through face-to-face networking and collaborative opportunities.

• Advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning by providing venues to share research and innovative practices, including our annual conference.

• Promoting evidence-based teaching through professional learning opportunities, such as our monthly webinar series, that help educators develop and refine impactful instructional practices.

Our events and programs are built around three core pillars:

1. Instructional practice — improving teaching through evidence-based, student-centered approaches.

2. Scholarship of teaching and learning — sharing and advancing research on effective STEM education.

3. Professional development — supporting educators’ growth, leadership, and success throughout their careers.
